WHAT IF I TOLD YOU

When I write I don't think about what I'm going to write about, words flow from within me. When I wrote this piece  I was sitting alone on my bed and I just started writing.

This poem is called "What if i told you" 

What if I told you 

I know everything you thought I didn't know 
What if I told you 
I know what was done to me when I was a child 
What if I told you 
I don't know what it is I am beign punished for 
What if I told you 
All my life I looked up to you 
What if I told you 
I forgave you a long time ago 
Would you then set me free? 

What if I told you 
I knew you were pretending 
What if I told you 
I remember everything 
Would you then set me free? 

What if I told you 
After all you have put me through 
I am still going & I know u don't sleep at night 
What if I told you 
I have a heart of gold 
Would you then set me free 

What if I told you 
One day you will confess 
What if I told you 
What is done in the dark shall come to light 
Would you then set me free? 

What if I told you 
I once loved and treasured you 
What if I told you 
I cried when I found out u never cared 
What if I told you 
I kept all your secrets 
Would you then set me free?
