You feel safe, but are you safe?
There is something I need to know
Can I be myself around you?
Will you love the broken parts of me?
I am not broken, but I have some broken parts.
Will you be able to understand my silence?
The parts of me I do not love will you love them?
The grumpy, moody me will you accept her?
My insecurities will you hold them against me?
If I share my secrets with you, do you promise not to judge me?
I do not need a savior; I need a friend.
When I am at my lowest, will you just sit in silence with me?
You feel safe, but are you safe?
The heart is fragile, and it can be easily bruised.
I will not trust you with my heart, but for now, I do.
You are not my forever, but for now dance with me,
Laugh with me, cry with me, until it is time to part ways.
I can only give you a moment of me, not all of me.
The End.
