How often do you find some peace? I
mean how often do you let your mind rest from worrying or over analysing? It’s
the simple things in life we often overlook, like taking long walks by yourself
and listening to the sounds of nature, without any music, phone, or
distractions. We tend to underestimate the importance of being alone. Solitude
and loneliness are not the same thing.
I have always enjoyed my time alone
whenever I can get the chance to be alone. Since childhood, I always made some
time for myself to be alone. And now as an adult, I can see how spending time
alone shaped me to be who I am today.
Outside influence can be very powerful
especially when you lack self-awareness. Knowing and comprehending yourself as
an individual is very essential. You do not need to worry about the external
world’s perception of you, as long as you’re not causing harm to anyone in the
process.
Have you ever wondered about your
identity and preferences? Sometimes we may unconsciously imitate others,
without knowing ourselves well enough. For example, you may buy shoes that your
friend approves of, but are they your style? I’m not saying that you should
never seek advice from others, but you should also ask yourself if you are
happy with your choices or just following your friend’s suggestions.
Don’t let others define who you are.
You are unique and worthy. Make some space in your hectic life and take a
break. Go for a solo walk without your phone. If you keep exploring yourself,
you will discover your true essence and your passion.
