STILL BECOMING HER

 

As I stood in my kitchen one morning, washing the dishes, I thought to myself,

Taf, I am so proud of the woman you are today.

 

Did you ever think that one day you would have two beautiful girls who adore you?

Did you ever think that one day you would be caring for your mother the way you are now?

 

Then I answered myself and said,

Lord, this is all for Your glory, not mine.

 

There is no way I would have been able to hold myself together under these circumstances without You.

I know there is more coming, but before You add anything more, prepare me.

Prepare my heart.

 

And in that moment, these words began to flow from my spirit.

 

Lord, let me become the woman who is ready first.

 

Let my life be in order.

Let my mind be clear.

Let my home be stable.

Let my finances grow.

Let my children be secure.

 

Prepare me before You add to me.

Build me before You bless me.

Establish me before You increase me.

 

Teach me to be content in the season I am in.

Teach me to trust Your timing.

Teach me to walk in alignment with Your will.

 

So that whatever comes into my life

comes from a place of strength, not need.

From peace, not pressure.

From wholeness, not emptiness.

 

I know I am not behind.

I know I am not forgotten.

I know You are working on me.

 

I am still becoming. 🩷
