TAKING CONTROL OF OUR THOUGHTS

What a beautiful day! Woke up feeling blessed as always. It’s sunny outside looks great, cannot wait to step out and enjoy the sun, before I do that I want to share my notes with you, from a sermon by Dr Charles Stanley. Sharing is caring I hope this helps someone today, because it sure helped me.
What to do you spend most of your time thinking about?

Taking Control Of Our Thoughts: Dr Charles Stanley.
The pathway to controlling our thoughts begins with an understanding of our relationship to Jesus Christ. (Colossians 3:1-11) KJV
Satan blinds the mind of the unbeliever (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) KJV
It makes a difference what we think, your life is an expression of what you thinking.
·         We sow a thought and reap an action.
·         We sow an action and reap a habit.
·         We sow a habit and reap a character.
·         We sow a character and reap a destiny.
Our thoughts have consequences; unseen thoughts produce visible consequences.

Overcoming our thoughts:
·         Where will this thought lead me?
·         Will these thoughts get me where I want to go?
·         Are these thoughts scripturally acceptable?
·         Will these thoughts build me up or tear me down?
·         Could I share these thoughts with someone else?
·         Where did these thoughts originate?
·         Do I feel guilty thinking these thoughts?
·         Do these thoughts fit who I am as a follower of Jesus?

Jesus Christ did not come with a life-shortening suggestion but with a life-saving power. His highest wish is for us to prosper and have health in both soul and body. He said, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 2).

Thank you all for reading I appreciate you. May you be blessed today tomorrow and forever. Stay blessed. Thank you.

  1. This is really interesting subject for me as I've had real troubles in the past with thoughts so would like to share some insight on this subject to hope make a difference out there.
Thoughts derive from 2 places Iver fear or love.
I have lived in fear for far to long and let me tell you it's debilitating. So much so these fears were coming alive all around me. Very frightening place I have been in in past due to mentally ill sickness well on earth it's known. My spiritual beliefs tell me diffrent. This was a battle against a demon in my life that was haunting me since birth.11 years old I grew up with child hood anxities these were irrational fears I could never talk about for many years. I lived with these irrational fears for many years Until one day my fears came upon me.
( what we fear comes upon us)
Demons feed of fear be aware of this.
They came through my thoughts Known as intrusive thoughts aka ocd, schizorphrenia on earth I know it as a demon in my life named baal.my fears projected in to reality this was scary. Baal Was trying to take my soul he had fed of my fear since 11 years old. This was a battle for my soul. I was sick in the mind on earth but I don't see myself as sick more that there was a spiritual battle for my soul between god and baal.
The closer I get to God the more the devil attacks my weaknesses but thank the heavenly father he was there for me he's ways kept me safe and in the light.
God sent me the knowledge I needed to conquer this demon baal.
Angels sent me signs and messages through the Bible he tooled me up with the full armour of god.
This spiritual attack had me debilitated, but through repentance and pray I was saved I finally found the courage to confront these fears.
With staying close to God I conquered this demon in my life I can testify now this was god who blessed me the courage to face my fears,he blessed me the help I received, he blessed me spiritually.
Facing this fear took away my intrusive thoughts. This demon had gone thank goodness in my life i was free of this fear I had exposed it. Exposing demons takes away there power.

Its good to know as humans we all have intrusive thoughts it's common we just don't talk about them lol
So don't be ashamed just know the worst thoughts are from fear and that fear is irrational and facing these fears in baby steps is ok it took me 22 years.
So take care of your thoughts choose love over fear, self love is helpful living a godly way conquers the spirits of fear.

Teresa this is really interesting subject and a brilliant write up from you. Keep up the good work I'm learning of you so much so thanks, god bless world x we are blessed :)
